About Wingspan Society
We started Wingspan Society because the best part of birdwatching is sharing it — a rustle in the hedge, a flash of color, a call you finally learn to recognize. This is a place to keep track of it all, and to do it together.

Our story
Wingspan Society began as a small group trading photos of backyard visitors. It grew into a community database of species details, and a place for members to log and share what they see — from a first robin of spring to a once-in-a-lifetime rare sighting.
Today the species database covers birds from every continent, with new entries added as our members contribute their knowledge and photos.
